My 3 Words for 2018

my 3 words for 2018

Words. We all live and die by words. Some will encourage, others will direct your life, some make you think, while some entertain. Since I want to help you get better at being your best, I have chosen my 3 words for 2018.

Why three words rather than just one or maybe four? By choosing just one word, it loses it’s impact. It simply becomes another word you will soon forget.

Four or more words is to complicated. It makes it easier to get distorted in your pursuit of your goals. And two words just don’t work. There is nothing to tie them together.

Using 3 words to create more meaning in your life seems to be the best number. They create a triangulation that keeps everything in balance. One feeds the next, and builds on the other keeping you focused.

My 3 Words for 2018

Image, Commit, Journey

Image. I chose this word because it helps me visualize what I want to accomplish. It’s the vision. The big picture. Without an image fixed in your mind, everything is just a blur.

Commit. This is my action word. It reminds me that I have to commit, to take action, to make things happen. As you already know, if you don’t have a commitment to getting better or accomplishing your goal, it simply won’t happen.

Journey. Of my 3 words for 2018, this one I think is the most important. It is my reminder that life is a journey. A series of events that will take me along a path to reach a destination that I have chosen. A path where I help others get better at being their best.

Stick around. I hope to teach you how to fix an image of getting better at being your best in your mind that is so vivid, you will be able to grab hold of it, make the commitment to making it your reality while enjoying your journey. What will your 3 words for 2018 be?
