ideas for random acts of kindness
How can a list of ideas for random acts of kindness be random? Chosen without method or conscious decision. Humm, without conscious decision? So tell me how a list of ideas that you “consciously” develop is random. There is actually an official random acts of kindness week. How “random” is that?

There are stories of random acts of kindness floating all around the internet. Some I believe, are truly random while others are pre-planned. After thinking about this for a while, I decided to list a few acts that are not so random but are a conscious culmination of acts that would be kind.

Ideas for Random Acts of Kindness

Before I get to the list, I want to point out that there is a point to this post. Sometimes my ideas may seem a bit random but in the end, there is a definite purpose, a conscious thought or idea that I have expressed. I want to either to get you to thinking or do something that will help you get closer to where you want to be.

The List
Whatever ideas for random acts of kindness you may have, they cannot be random if you have to to work from a list. That being said, my list is “not” random but very specific.

  • Make conversation with someone you do not know. You just may learn something.

That’s my entire list of ideas for random acts of kindness that are actually not random at all. It’s not even actually a list. It’s an idea. How you use it is up to you though I would hope you will try it.

Here’s my point.
Sure there are lots of people in this world that need things such as food and clothing or even shelter. We all do.

But when you talk to someone you have never met, you have the opportunity to show them you care about them. You can make them smile or even laugh. You can share in part of their lives by asking them about themselves.

I believe they will remember you for that, long after they would have eaten a meal. You see, even though we all need food, shelter and clothing, it is each other that we need more. Even if only for the time it takes to ask a stranger to tell you their story.

If it is ideas for random acts of kindness you are looking for, then you only need this one idea. From that, you will find your list of random acts of kindness.

One last thought. This works with people you know too.

Be random, but to the point.

Feel free to share this with anyone. And if you want to be sure to get all my ideas, subscribe to my blog. I’ll send them to you.

Could not agree more Ocha! You are dead on and as well as being dead on, you’ve been a perfect example of this to so many….glad to call you friend! I love you brother.

Thanks Danny for the kind words. I believe we are called to share kindness with those whose paths we cross.

I love this idea. Seems like anywhere I go, people talk to me. In the line at the grocery store, at restaurants, almost anywhere. I believe it is because I look people eye to eye & smile. The smile bridges many a gap, eases tension, reduces fear & just get the words, ideas & stories to flowing. I have always been a people observer, watcher……there is much to be learned by silently watching folks. They are truly entertaining, families, couples, anyone……it blesses me I always come away with a lesson learned.

Yes Darice, I love watching people too and you are absolutely right when you say there are lessons we can learn. Even from strangers.
